Who are We and What is Courage in Action?

We welcome all individuals who identify as women to our programs. We are an inclusive group for all abilities, cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, faiths, gender identities, immigration statuses, incomes, national origins, races, and sexual orientations. In order to be able to grow and learn better together, we strive to create a space of respect, trust and confidentiality during our programs that allows each of us to speak openly, share our history and perspectives while helping each other to be courageous. For all to feel safe doing that we ask that personal information shared on our calls are not shared outside of the program.

We are a registered charity helping women coming from difficult circumstances move forward in their lives.  Our goal is to provide our participants with the tools, motivation and hope that uplifts and inspires them to create their new or different outcomes.

We accomplish this through educational sessions, various in-person events and online programs with presentations, workshops and activities presented by accomplished women. Many of the people who volunteer come from similar backgrounds and have moved beyond their situation, in other words they “walk the talk”.

The online programs and in-person events are free to all members of Courage in Action and are operated by volunteers with the aid of very generous sponsors.  Our events and programs are hosted by passionate speakers and include interactive activities.

Registered Charity Number: 711664482RR0001
