4-Week Beginner Meditation Course

We are thrilled to present a unique opportunity aimed at enhancing your well-being a carefully curated 4-week Beginner Meditation Course.

Here is the 4 week outline for the course:

Week 1: Embark on your meditation journey with a solid foundation. Discover the essentials of sitting, breathing, and mindfulness to establish the groundwork for a fulfilling meditation practice. Uncover tools like mind dumping, movement, and focus items that simplify the meditation process. We’ll delve into the true nature of meditation and dispel the myth that stopping your thoughts is mandatory. Learn how to create your meditation space, whether it’s a cozy closet or an entire room. The week concludes with a brief meditation and a soothing body scan meditation.

Week 2: Delve deeper into your meditation practice in week two, exploring essential breathing techniques. Uncover at least five breathing methods, choosing the ones that resonate with you for both meditation and daily life. Building on the mind dump and movement from week one, we’ll start the session, culminating in a longer meditation. Conclude the week with a guided meditation focusing on the chakras.

Week 3:  Week three takes mindfulness beyond the cushion, integrating meditation into your daily routine for a constant sense of peace. Explore creative ways to incorporate meditation into your practice while continuing with the mind dump and movement exercises. Experience an extended silent meditation, introducing Mantra meditation and a guided session to help you discover your personal mantra.

Week 4: In the final week, craft your personalized 20-minute meditation practice to seamlessly fit into your daily life. Although a 20-minute silent practice may seem daunting, remember that progress takes time, and we’re on this journey together. Explore the first full 20-minute silent practice, and discuss additional tools to enhance your meditation experience.

 Self care is more than bubble baths!  In this interactive workshop we will delve into the importance of self care and ways we can nurture ourselves. In addition, we will explore various wellness practices including breathwork, meditation, journaling and writing positive affirmations. In this program we explore the neuroscience behind our emotions and learn new techniques to manage when we are in difficult situations.  In this highly interactive workshop the participants will learn to identify how they react to life’s events and learn tools to cope with more resilience. The participants will learn tools to prepare for, recover from and adapt to stress, change and adversity.

The Four Agreements  

This program is based on the book by Don Miguel Ruiz.  The Four Agreements offer a powerful code of conduct that can transform lives to a new experience of freedom, happiness and love.  The Four Agreements are:  First: Be Impeccable with Your Word Second: Don’t Take Anything Personally Third: Don’t Make Assumptions Four: Always Do Your Best. During the course we will review each of the agreements and what it means to the participants individually.  Everyone will leave with an understanding of the difference applying these agreements will make in their lives and action plan of how to implement them.

Six Pillars of Self-Esteem – The practice of living 

What determines the level of self-esteem is what the individual does and the choices they make within the context of their knowledge and values.  It is the discipline of acting in a certain way over and over again day by day in big issues and small. The workshop is designed so the participants journal their personal responses to a series of questions, and identify and set goals to live more powerfully using each of the pillars.  It is a powerful way for the participants to learn to feel better about themselves and understand some basic principles on how to continue to develop and grow their level of self-confidence. This two-part program is based on the book “6 Pillars of Self Esteem” by Nathanial Brandon.

The Power of Self-Compassion: Cultivating Emotional Well-being

This workshop will introduce the key concepts and practices of Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). MSC is a science-backed meditation practice that supports and protects mental health. Research shows self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing. Practicing self-compassion can help you cope with life challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, and increase healthy habits. Don’t be deceived, self-compassion is NOT about self-pity.  On the contrary, this practice helps you to cultivate the inner resources to thrive, especially during difficult times.

During this workshop, you will have the chance to immerse yourself in some of the foundational practices and exercises of mindful self-compassion. The content of this workshop is based on the 8-week MSC program developed by world-renowned Kristin Neff (Researcher) & Chris Germer (Psychologist). This workshop is offered by a Trained MSC teacher.
